A Bridgend County Borough charity is urging local businesses to help prove that ‘Autism Works’ by taking part in an exciting new project.

Bridgend People First, which is dedicated to protecting and up-holding the rights of people with learning disabilities and autism spectrum disorder (ASD), is asking businesses to provide short term work placements for people with ASD.

Funded through Heritage Lottery Funding, the ‘Autism Works’ pilot aims to raise awareness of the benefits of employing people with ASD, improve their opportunities to secure and remain in employment, and highlight the often low-cost, minor adjustments that are required.

If your business is interested in taking part in the programme through offering short- term work placements, please contact Jason Tynan, Chief Executive on 01656 668 314 or at
