Less than twenty-four hours after the final putt was sunk at the Senior Open Championship Presented by Rolex, eight local business forum members took the opportunity to play a round of golf at the Royal Porthcawl Golf Club - the most talked about course in the golfing world, this July!

Two teams of four including golfers Matthew Williams and Ioan Emanuel who completed the course in 2014 were once again eager to take on the course in the same conditions in which the golf legends Bernhard Langer, Tom Watson, Sandy Lyle, Fred Couple and Wales’ very own Ian Woosnam have previously played.

The day was a real treat for the two teams of four, as they played a round of golf followed by lunch in the historic clubhouse.

Ioan Emanuel, from Newlec Assemblies Ltd based on Brynmenyn Industrial Estatesaid: “To have the chance to experience the course first hand just a day after the professionals took it on is extremely exciting. It was a pleasure to watch some excellent players at a superb venue while trying my hand at the course myself.”
